To increase the size of fonts on all web sites you look at, use the following instructions: To change the size of fonts:
Internet Explorer 8.x and above Open the Tools menu on your web browser. Select Internet Options. Click General at the top of the page. Click Accessibility. Select Ignore font styles specified on Web pages. Once you have done this you will be able to resize text by opening the View menu, selecting the Text size option, and selecting the font size you wish to use.
Google Chrome Open the View menu, select zoom in or zoom out or use the command +/- buttons.
Mozilla Firefox Open the View menu, select Text Size, and increase or decrease the font size you wish to use. Simplifying the colour of sites. If you want to use different colours on this and other sites:
Internet Explorer 8.x and above Open the Tools menu, select Internet Options. Click General at the top of the page. Click Accessibility. Select Ignore colours specified on Web pages.
Google Chrome Open the Chrome menu, select Preferences then scroll to the bottom of the page to show Advanced Settings. Then under ‘Add additional accessibility features’ select from the desired extensions.
Mozilla Firefox Open the Tools menu, select options. In the left side vertical menu select the General tab. Then in the central panel select the Fonts & Colours option. This will open a new window in which you can alter the default colours and font settings. To apply these settings tick the Fonts and Colours options at the bottom of the window in the section labelled Always use my: If you want to look at this and other sites without pictures (downloading will be faster and this may work better with some screen readers):
Internet Explorer 8.x and above Open the Tools menu, select Internet Options, and select Advanced at the top of the page. Under Accessibility select, Always expand ALT text for images. Scroll down to the Multimedia section, and deselect Show pictures.
Mozilla Firefox Open the Tools menu, select options. In the left side vertical menu select the Web Features tab. Then in the central panel untick the Load Images tick box.
